The focused education and training during the JATA Classroom session is an excellent opportunity for education of new members to your CDMP® Team.  The ideal candidate for the JATA Classroom has at least two weeks of orientation to your current program.  This orientation will provide a framework for the intensive education session. 

Class participants will experience an intensive five day education program  regarding JATA’s 700(+) documentation techniques, coding guidelines, Coding Clinic references and clinical scenarios, all designed to improve clinical documentation in the medical record. The Friday morning session will provide comprehensive instruction on the use of CDMPGuide®.  This software tool is used throughout the CDMP® training process.  It incorporates DRG-specific admission diagnoses, surgical procedures, Coding Clinic references, secondary diagnoses, DRG weights, automatically linked to all of our documentation strategies and Decision Trees. Your staff may choose to participate in our JATA Classroom at JATA’s corporate headquarters or via live web seminar.

Following JATA Classroom, participants will benefit from clinical application mentoring by your current staff.  Hands on practice will increase comfort level and knowledge of documentation strategies for new team members. JATA experts are available via email and JATA’s 800 number for technical, clinical and coding support.
